General Information
Location of Training Facility
Located at the Santa Fe Offshore Marine Base, Merak, Banten. An easy
two hours (125km) drives by toll road from Jakarta.
The purpose built facility features the latest Modular Escape Training
Simulator (METS) manufactured by Survival Systems Limited Canada,
air-conditioned classrooms, training pool, safe sea access, and both
Indonesian and expatriate resident instructors. The course material
has been developed in conjunction with Survival Systems Limited Canada
to ensure current international training standards are met while
maintaining suitability to Indonesia’s tropical environment.
The training centre it self is comprised of; training pool, two fully
equipped classrooms, maintenance building, offices and change rooms.
In the middle of training area is the pool, with climbing & jump off
tower, and the METS. There also smoke house, fire exercise ground and
TEMPSC with davit launch.
Helicopter can land at the base helipad and boat docking is also
available.
Safe, clean sea access for sea survival exercises adds stark realism
to the training, while maintaining safety for all students. A rescue
craft is always on standby when students are in the ocean.
Transportation
Transportation to and from Jakarta will be provided by Blue Bird bus
at 6 o’clock at the pick up points Hilton hotel (participants should
stand by at the main lobby), also transportation to and from either
The Soekarno-Hatta Airport or Halim Perdana Kusuma airport will be
provided (if requested). Local transportation at Merak, to and from
the hotel listed is provided.
Accommodation
Accommodation in the Merak region will be supplied on request.
We have special agreement with Indo Griya Housing USD $44.00 /night
/person (including breakfast, dinner, tax and service).
