The aim of the
Lifeboat coxswain’s course is to train students in all aspects of
leading, launching and piloting a lifeboat. The training consists
of practical exercises on preparing the lifeboat for launch,
briefing passengers, and course headings; recovering survivors
from the water, correct use of air and sprinkler systems, towing
and passenger management.
