The radio offers just about every feature you could ask for and retains the excellent modulation and echo of it's predecessors.

 Standard frequency range is 28 - 30MHz.
This is the first radio we have seen using a blue LED display - for both the channel number and frequency counter.

In addition the large round signal meter also has blue illumination.
Unlike other radios in the Magnum range, this radio does away with all the push-button selections and reverts back to rotary and slide switches. For example the band selection is done with an 8 position rotary switch rather than a push button.
The 6 digit frequency display shows both RX and TX frequency, and shows the actual frequency as the fine/course tune is adjusted. The course adjustment giving a range of about 7.5 kHz - allowing full tuning between the 10kHz spaced channels.
Although this radio does not have the scanning and memory facilities of the other models, overall it is a more "user-friendly" design which is probably more akin to a 20 year old CB than a 21st century 10m radio!
