This course is designed to refresh the skills and knowledge of workers with an existing, valid BOSIET,T-BOSIET,FOET or T-FOET certificate.

The course covers all the mandatory requirements for the issue of certificates specified in the OPITO common induction standards. The course also covers all the mandatory requirements for the issue of certificates for offshore safety training in Indonesia.

This course can be taken in conjunction with Travel Safely by Boat (TSbB), Further Travel Safely by Boat (FTSbB) Rebreather Emergency Breathing System (EBS) and Shallow Water Compressed Air Emergency Breathing Systems (CA-EBS).

By default, Samson Tiara delivers provides Travel Safely by Boat or Further Travel Safely by Boat as part of the T-FOET delivery at no additional cost, unless otherwise requested.

General Course Objectives:
The objectives of the T-FOET are that delegates will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate, in a simulated environment, that they can use the safety equipment and follow procedures in preparing for and during helicopter emergencies – with particular focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching.
  2. Demonstrate that they can use basic firefighting equipment effectively, and use self-rescue techniques in low visibility and completely obscured visibility situations e.g. smoke filled areas.
  3. Demonstrate that they can perform basic first aid.

  • Fire Fighting & Self Rescue practical exercises
  • Sea Survival & Lifeboat (TEMPSC) practical exercises
  • First Aid & Hypothermia theory & practical exercises
  • Helicopter Safety Procedures & Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) practical exercises.

All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive
  • A PT Samson Tiara certificate approved by OPITO for Tropical Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET); and
  • A laminated wallet course qualification card.
