Scope
Knowing and implementing existing work safety regulations when handling scaffolding is a skill that must be possessed by a scaffolder.

OSH Scaffolding Technician Level Training is designed to comply with Law No. 1 of 1970 concerning Occupational Safety, Minister of Manpower regulation No. PER. 01/MEN/1980 concerning Occupational Safety & Health in Building Construction, and SKB Minister of Manpower and Minister of Public Works No. Kep 174/Men/1986 and No. 104/Kpts/1986 and implementation guidelines on occupational safety and health at construction sites.

General Course Objectives:
The aim and objective of the Scaffolding Technician Level training program is:
  • To acquire the basic knowledge and skills needed in terms of planning, preparing, completing, checking, supervising, and ensuring safe scaffolding work.
Course Content:
  • OSH laws and regulations on building construction
  • Basic knowledge of scaffolding
  • Types of scaffolding
  • Scaffolding technical standards and guidelines
  • Scaffolding supervision and inspection.
  • Fundamentals of scaffold load assessment.
  • Assemble and dissemble scaffolding.
  • Potential hazards of scaffolding construction
  • How to prevent scaffolding accidents
  • Scaffolding safe work procedures (work at heights)
  • Practice
